"The view from the room was absolutely stunning and definitely the highlight of our stay. The room itself was clean and spacious, which worked perfectly for me and my husband. However, there were a few downsides. The room felt a bit dark and outdated, and unfortunately, the bed was not comfortable for my liking. "La mansion is in a beautiful location, and has nice views of the lake. The swimming pool and hot tub (more of a warm-tub) were great. I also loved our bright yellow room with crazy tiles thoughout the bathroom. The restaurant was ok. I would recommend eating at one of the local sodas instead. Overall, a great spot if you have a car to explore the area(Including La Fortuna)"

"Clean bungalow set in a pretty, well-maintained natural setting. Good views of the volcano. Decent breakfast with both hot and cold foods available. Not too far from the town of La Fortuna. "

"What a great place. Our room may have been small, but it was perfect for what we needed. Location was easy walk to lots of restaurants and stores. There was a shared kitchen with a fridge and microwave which we really appreciated. Breakfast was great and we even had a few choices of what to eat. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. "

"Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Willing to help as necessary. Everything was within walking distance. We only had 1 day that, for us was a washout. The jungle helps with any noise from other rooms. Highly recommend the night walk, especially for kids. The Puma trail offers a bit of nature if you slow down and look. There are other tours available also. Go with a guide, they will point out thing you will miss."

"The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again."

"Proche Monteverde . Nous avons eu un chalet . Très agréable même si proche de la réception et de la route . Nous n’étions pas en pleine nature comme imaginé mais nous avons vu des cabines donnant sur la vallée. Possibilité de marcher autour de la finca (sentier). Le portail ferme à 22h ( demander un lien à la réception pour l’ouvrir). Bar/ restaurant à 5 min en voiture. Nous avons testé le jacuzzi ( froid lors de notre venue) . Petit déjeuner buffet très bon."

"This hotel is absolutely beautiful, worth every penny. The location is conveniently located right outside downtown. There is so much wildlife on the property. And they offer a free breakfast buffet, which tastes great and they offer a variety of foods. I would definitely come back to this property. A plus point is that they have a heated pool which is great in the off season ."
