"Quick turnaround from being the premier inn and apart from the reception area, everything was the same and the need for freshening everything up is stronger than ever. Even had premier inn room cards still in use. For these reasons I felt it too pricey for what you get and would expect more. Not sure on their pricing too as I believe I paid about £15 more but did get a “free breakfast”"

"Pros: lovely breakfast, nice aspect to the room and comfortable bed. Staff are delightful Cons: bathroom is a little tired - mildew and taps not fully working - but workable. "

"The atmosphere and relative value for a 4 star hotel make this worth the stay. The carpet in my room had stains, including a fairly large one, which took away from the otherwise clean and spacious room. The hotel is a little out of the city center, so it is difficult without a car."

"The location for visiting Liverpool was brilliant with the iconic 'Ferry cross the Mersey' just a 10 minute walk away as well as regular and frequent buses to other parts of the Wirral. We had a great view from our room over the Mersey to Liverpool. Our room was really comfortable, breakfast freshly cooked and delicious. Dave and his lovely Mum went out of their way to make us welcome with excellent advice about where to go and how to get there. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend...

"We were unable to sleep in the room due to the fact it was too hot and had no air con, so we had to leave. If a hotel does not have air con it needs to be made clearer when making the booking, especially y in the summer time."

"Short walk(10min) to the docks and easy access to the city centre. Good restaurants nearby Lack of lift so if you have big luggages, it would be a challenge to carry up a few flight of stairs. Room I was staying was at the top floor and unfortunately, it was the heat wave. I didn’t realise there was no air conditioning although fan provided didn’t help. I couldn’t change the room either. So that 2 nights stay wasn’t very pleasant. As this was a work trip, I think having a desk would be...
