"Overall the perfect stay. The breakfast room can be very crowded. Microwave in room would have been appreciated for our take-out dinners or leftovers. Real cream provided somewhere for the coffee in room would have been nice too. Just one front desk person was not friendly at check-in or helpful with bike storage info. Others were great. We'd stay there again definitely."

"The Empress Hotel was truly a lovely hotel experience. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the lounge and really enjoyed a cocktail in the new bar area. Our room was lovely as was the service. Highly recommend "

"After we paid at the front desk, they told us that the elevator was broken. We refused to walk up to the third floor with our luggages since we're old. Then they offered a suite on the 4th floor with extra charge for it. I don't understand what they were thinking. Anyways we got a room on the first floor. But at least they could tell us before we paid then we could go to other hotel with an elevator. A little bit disappointed."

"Such a great relaxing place, Karl and Mandy are such nice hosts! Very accommodating, superb breakfast this morning, lots of coffee, hot tub in the cottage. Absolutely beautiful property. And a golf cart to rip around on to boot! And super quiet! Go ahead and book, you won't be disappointed!"

"Parking was underground and was fine. We were disappointed with the air exchange/heater unit. It was very noisy and cycled often, resulting in a poor sleep."
