When we got there, there was no way to enter the lobby so had to wait for 15 minutes pressing a buzzer to be let in. The room is the most disappointing part. Haphazardly cleaned as well as some kind of residue on walls, sheets, furniture etc. It smelled stale and damp in the room as well. You can tell the bedding was not washed, so i had to lay on top of everything, there was even some blood under the comforter which did it for me. The conditions were poor but would have been comfortable if it was at least cleaned adequately. Also, some people actually live there full time and have a feeling are trading hotel services for their upkeep, which i am sure is a cause of these symptoms

The location is wonderful! there are so many neat things to do around Port Hueneme. Only about a mile from the beach, plenty of places to eat. The room was nice. nothing spectacular, but it was clean and good for the price. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay!

this is an older place that they have tried updating with paint and flooring. filthy filthy filthy. hair throughout the place, hair painted into bathroom ceiling. linnens were old and didn't look clean. woman at front desk was a bit rude. quite a few weird people hanging around the place going in and out of property all night and also hanging around early AM when i left. All the reviews i saw at first glance looked great but couldn't have been further from the truth.

It was close to the beach/pier at a great price. We didn’t enjoy the sky lights in the rooms though, too much light in the morning so it was hard to try to enjoy sleeping in on vacation.

I will stay here again

Sheets were not dirty, but nice "sterile" either and a hand towel had a stain on it, washing it would not get it out should have tossed it, but the room was clean and inviting. Man at front desk, I assume the owner was pleasant and helpful.

Overall, I really have no major complaints. The room was clean comfortable for what was needed. This is not a business class hotel, which was fine for my purpose of attending an event in the area. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room, an unexpected bonus. The only reason I did not rate the highest in any category is because some things look a bit dated or less than corporate, such as the paint. Do not misunderstand, that does NOT equate to unclean. Just basic. One more major plus was the A/C unit. Worked well and did not smell musty.
