"This hotel lived up to its wonderful reviews. The property was in an excellent location very close to local amenities. The Hop on Hop off tour bus terminus was only a few minutes walk away, as was the Metro which was easy to use. City centre shops & restaurants were only a 20min walk from the hotel. Upgrading my stay to a suite with fully equipped kitchen was worth the extra expense and I was impressed at how quiet the hotel was, despite there being plenty of guests. "

"As we were staying on the 4th floor the balcony was a nice touch gave great views of the city and so spent most our time out there. Didn't realise the room I booked was a shared bathroom, but it wasn't too bad as only for one night as the bathrooms and showers were very clean. They also had many toilets. Staff very helpful, the only thing which might be a problem for visitors is the stairs, of course this is a theme of Lisbon in itself so you should expect steep climbs anyway, but there didn't seem to be a working lift and looked like quite an old building. I don't mind walking up stairs but for those less mobile this might not be the ideal spot despite the great central location in the city. Breakfast was nice, you pick a timeslot upon arrival, have lots of selection apart from continental breakfast bar eggs"

"We had a very nice experience staying at Pestana. From check in to check out was all effortless. We arrived at the hotel hours before our check in but when I asked if we could do an early check in before we came all the way from another country and different time zone. Daniella did not hesitate to accommodate us. She put us on priority list. It did not take 10 minutes from walking she called us and told us our room is ready. Room was clean and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine. Very satisfied with their service and will definitely book at this hotel again. Keep up the good work "

"Perfectly located recover from a transatlantic flight in preparation for boarding a cruise departing from the nearby cruise terminal. It is also right next to the train station for easy access to the rest of Portugal. We found some nearby restaurants and touristy stuff to keep us busy for the few free hours that we had. The hotel was nice and the staff very accommodating."

"All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a decent variety of hot foods (eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, mushroom etc) and cold foods such as yoghurt, fresh cut fruits, breads/toast and mini pancakes. Also a good variety of hot and cold drinks. We had a ground level room with 2 floors - double bed and a sofa bed, and one bathroom. Toiletries, towels and a hair dryer were provided. Iron has to be requested from reception and returned after use. Plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Only downside, or challenge I would say, is the actual location of the hotel is if you have mobility issues or a lot of luggage. To access the hotel taxi/uber will drop you on the Main Street and you have to walk down a steep cobbled road (which is a bit hidden away). It’s all part of the historic nature of the area, but a challenge when walking up if you are not used to hills or have mobility issues. There is no other way to access the hotel. No complaints about the hotel itself - we had a nice stay. There are some nice small restaurants in the area with a variety of dishes but some locals warned us to steer clear of those that try to flag you down from outside to come and eat - the quality and cleanliness of the food was the issue. "

"Perfect location for my first trip to Lisbon. My room was big with the balcony overlooking Equine Cosmopolitans rooftop terrace You can walk to superb restaurants and wine bars within 5 minutes. The location is 1 mile from the cruise port and a quick Uber 5 or 6 miles to the airport. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, Bruno the hotel bartender recommended numerous restaurants and wine bars 🍸 in the area, he is a top notch mixologist! "
