"When I arrived a gentleman came from the restaurant attached next door to give me my key, but my name wasn’t on his printed list. After a long phone with somebody else call he gave me key and I was able to get to a room. He was very friendly and invited me over for dinner. The room was very basic but clean, exactly what I needed. The location was pretty good, but make sure you book a taxi ahead of time if you have an early flight!"

"Our stay at Mediterrâneo Madeira was exceptional and one of the highlights of our trip. The oceanfront setting is truly special. Sleeping with the windows open and listening to the rhythmic sound of the waves arriving at the shore each night was both relaxing and unforgettable. "This was one of the cleanest and nicest hostels I’ve been to! It is an amazing location, and the street parking was super easy. The property was beautiful on the outside. The room was a little bit dated, and the bed was super squeaky, but I can’t complain too much. The kitchen was very nice, and we had a great experience overall."

"The hotel was truly amazing. The location was perfect right in the middle of old town next to restaurants and a 5 min walk from the river front. The patio area was nestled in the middle of the hotel and felt like a breath of fresh air. The service was great they were extremely attentive. I also sprained my ankle and asked for some ice they had someone bring it in mins in a sealed bag so I can ice my ankle truly great hotel"

"We were forced to book this hotel last minute due to a cancelled flight and no other options. It was incredibly expensive and not worth the cost. The hotel is very old and outdated and the wifi does not work. We were able to check in late and the room was clean but I would not stay there again for that price. Definitely taking advantage of low inventory on the island"
