"Charming, clean and well equipped room above the Fox and Grapes gastro pub. Perfect location for the tennis at Wimbledon with a 20 minute walk across the Common. Really appreciated the continental breakfast basket left overnight and the air conditioning. Bonus of free weekend parking on the street oustide. Quiet at night once the pub has closed and had some lovely food in there as well."
"Have loved this hotel for decades. Rooms are beautifully designed with luxury bathrooms and L’Occitane toiletries. Only downside is the from noise from the air conditioner. Superb friendly reception team."
"The building (outside) is the ugliest in Kingston (and that means something as Kingston is not exactly attractive), but once inside it is quite okay.
The breakfast was good and also good value for money.

"I’ve stayed here a few times, and each time is excellent! The area is really nice and safe as a solo female traveler. There are very close supermarkets and shopping. The riverside and the green are very nice and picturesque. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. This is my go-to place to stay when I go to London. I’ve had a better experience here than when I’ve stayed at other chain hotels, such as Marriotts and Hiltons. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
One thing to mention is...
"It was a birthday celebration, and it was to be something special.
We wanted somewhere that would be memorable to stay in and this hotel didn’t disappoint.
A timeless hotel with a superb reputation, with service and amenities to match.
You may want to go for a swim, you may want to play tennis, or you may wish to have a massage and relax in your room, you can do it all here.
Certainly a hotel that prioritises guest comfort and good service over pretty much anything else. Also, a hotel that is...
"We had a lovely stay for 4 nights with 3 kids and our dog Butter. The location was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the food at the restaurant. We also enjoyed a quiet moment at the little library. Will come back to stay again in the future!"
"You would not believe the pub was in such a lovely area and with the high street and all its other offerings so close - so close to London , Heathrow and transport - a gem !"
"The hotel felt old in a good way, but the rooms - and especially the bathrooms - were up to date and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts in the sunny dining room and we left agreeing that the Alexander Pope was a hotel we would happily return to. It's also very convenient to central Twickenham and the 490 bus took us everywhere we needed to go."
