We had difficulty obtaining the check in information. This was through Vrbo so you are given the code to a lock box with the keys to the building and your room. We stood in the rain for about 30 minutes trying to get the information. The room itself was good. There was a nice bed and a huge closet. We stayed one night and a reasonable price. There is a hotel with a restaurant open to the public about 2 blocks away. Great pizza and beer.

OK for overnight stopover. You get what you paid for. Old house, heating did not work in the room. Common use bathrooms on the first floor. Rooms are upstairs. On positive side: cheep, tidy, heated floor in the bathroom. Bus stop is in walkable distance. &20 cab to Terminal 5.

Would have cost the same to stay at a proper hotel

They did not inform me of the location until a few hours before I arrived, and it was further from the airport than I expected, with 40 pound cab ride each way (taxi cabs around Heathrow area are horrendously expensive even for short distances). We you factor in two way taxi and tip, then it would have been cheaper and more pleasant to stay at an official airport hotel, with access to the much cheaper Hoppa shuttle (6 pounds) which only serves hotels in the area. Numerous problems with the room, let me count the ways: Going up steep staircase with a lot of luggage, there was no lift nor elevator Room was cold even with heater on maximum, somebody had left the window open in late December and the room was freezing upon arrival and hardly warmed up even after turning the heater on. Towel heater did not work. No tea making facility in room ...iron was provided which i did not need (am i supposed to iron my tea bags?) TV in room had no remote, could not be turned on, not even sure if it was connected to anything. Bedside lamp did not work. No soundproofing so airport noise was loud (an official airport hotel would have soundproofing) Bed was a bit small even for queen size Gravel driveway and broken concrete path made it difficult to get my bags in and out from the street, ledges at the bottom of the doors did not help either. The steep stairwell was unlit when we arrived, which is rather dangerous to navigate the step stairs. There was a light switch at the bottom

Check in was a multiple step situation. No taxi had any idea where the building was. It's unmarked. Lights in kitchen didn't work. Shower tiles falling off, shower itself was leaking from both the main connection and along the pipe. Blinds were in disrepair, the ceiling in R2 (where I was) looks like someone stuck used floorboards on it, possibly to mask mould. I'd probably had better conditions in a trailer.

Crap

The house was in disrepair. The room had a small handle lock so not very secure. The front door was constantly left unlocked by other guests. No cctv in entrance area for security and safty. Room itself looked half way through renovation. Bathrooms had electred wires hanging from cieling. Cheap stay but not even worth the money paid. I do have videos but cant upload.

I booked a luxury room but it was basic beyond belief. No chair, no mirror no basin and no hangers. The Expedia description is inaccurate as you can’t walk to the airport. The stated walking time is pure fantasy. Not particularly cheap as for an extra £10 you can stay in a real hotel

The bathrooms were shared and one of the bathrooms was super odd like an old toilet closet. It was so confusing that I was made to fill out an extra registration and pay a deposit. Then it constantly stated that reception would close at a certain time so I rushed from the airport only to discover that there is no reception. It was very confusing that I could not get in. I had to figure out in the very dark area how to get in, which means finding and opening the keyboxes hidden to the right. There should be motion activated lights to help...maybe even a sign at the door to guide you better to the keyboxes. The room was too cold and the boiler wasn’t enough to keep the room warm Humidity in the whole flat and in the room number 1., not clean lots of dust behind the bed , bed very dirty smelly humidity everywhere in the room , from top to the bottom

La dirección no es del todo clara, el taxi nos dejó en medio de ningún lugar con mi bebé de 9 meses muerta de frío, tocamos varias puertas y los vecinos explicaron que a mucha gente le pasa, incluso en alguna puerta había un cartel decía aquí no es hotel es el número 65, no pudimos cargar el teléfono porque no había donde, la calefacción estaba apagada y nuestra habitación era un congelador, los alrededores muy bien comunicado autobuses.
