"The staff were very nice. Service was great. Food at the restaurant and club lounge was great. Room was very nice and modern. The pool area, however, was not in great shape. Bathrooms were closed, bar was closed and an area was roped off due to “falling debris”. These areas were in a state of disrepair. Maybe due to a recent storm, however, there was no mention of it prior to or during checkin. Also disappointed that they would charge $25 for a one hour extension to the check out. Been to a lot...

"Good attitude"

"There were fruit flies in my room during my entire five day stay. The owner of the room did not leave a phone number so that I can contact them regarding the issue. I was never given an email with the owners information. I asked the front desk and they said I should’ve received an email but I did not. The room needed to be painted and the bathroom shower faucet kept dripping. The doors covering the sliding doors would not open fully so my view of the mountain was blocked. There was only one...

"Very cute/ hip hotel, staff was lovely, very clean grounds and rooms, even a ring light to post your stories;) the pool and beach were great and lava lava lounge is the best!!"

"The overall hotel experience was great. The staff were all super friendly and helpful with any questions or issues that arose. The room itself was very clean and comfortable for our stay. No issues with parking, as there was always a spot for us to find and even if we had to walk a little further from the main parking lot it didn’t phase us as we got to experience the beauty of the resort as we did so. Breakfast has great hours and offers a good variety of food and drinks at the morning coffee...

"They said check in was 4 no earlier which was fine but they were unorganized and didn’t get us checked in till after 4. By the time we got to the room, we got in and realized the toilet barely worked and the shower Drain was completely clogged. So the water didn’t drain properly and created a pool at your feet I booked a two bed room I was traveling with two other adults and they only had one bed in the room and refused to rectify it and fix their mistake. They then blamed it on Expedia and...

"Our room was clean and comfortable, but bathroom fixtures have not been kept up. I just expected more for what we paid. A similar location and sized room on Maui was much nicer than this one was for similar money. Our room was ocean front, which was nice, but the beach was not really useable and there are homeless people living along the property who even lit fires. They were never a problem, just not expected for what we paid. The fire alarm went off at 4am, supposedly set off by the broken...

"The outside landscaping and decor with the native flora and fire torches and pits was outstanding. The rooms were well appointed and thought out."

"Professional staff. Clean room. Relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful property."

"Great, central location. Smooth check-in process. Clean, well-maintained property."

"Absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Koa Kea! It is such a lovely, small resort. Right on the ocean, just a few short steps to beautiful beaches with sea turtles, monk seals, great snorkeling and surfing. The resort staff was very friendly and so helpful!"
