"Property is a 10 minute drive away from the heavily touristed area. Perfect for us. The hosts are wonderful and the food is amazing. We got the half board (dinner and breakfast) for four. Amazing. Cabins are all built using huge logs. A tad rustic but with amazing soaking tub plus modern toilets. We stayed in summer. No A/c but temps were cool. Highly recommend and would stay again. "

There are several eateries and snack shops nearby, and parking is quite convenient. Unlike the crowded city, this area is calm and spacious, with pleasantly mild weather—perfect for unwinding and relaxing."

"We enjoyed our stay at this property. Our room has a private onsen with a view of Lake Toya. It has a traditional Japanese aesthetic with all the modern elements. The property itself is not located in the Toyako Onsen area but they offer free shuttle service (about 5-min drive). The staff is very hospitable and accommodating with reasonable requests such as shuttle to Toya Station (about 10-min drive). "Hide (owner) is such a kind and compassionate person. On arrival he gave us fruit and there were many snacks provided in the rooms. Many of the other days he would give us more fruit and then a lovely gift when we left. Every day he was so helpful in removing all the snow from our vehicle before we left for the ski fields. Hide is what makes this hotel such a pleasant place to stay. Thanks Hide, we loved staying with you!"

"This hotel needs to be renovated, the onsen is very old and dark. The room is very basic but the view is great. We could see the fireworks from our bedroom window. The staff were very nice. It’s conveniently located near the bus station. I would splurge to stay at a better hotel that has an onsen that is inviting and that has better accommodations. Feels like an hotel from the 80s! "

    "Great breakfast options. Japanese, western or buffet. I chose western. Premium fresh fruits, pastries, famous Hokkaido milk, different juices and many more. The outdoor onsen is beautiful. Our room with lake view, we could see the lakeside fireworks at night and beautiful sunrise in the morning. The best of all, they let us check in early since our room is ready. And the check out time is not till 12 pm. White gloves staff services through out the hotel. The room is extremely clean. We would definitely will come back. "
