It's not located in the busiest areas which is good for those who prefer quieter surroundings. But subway stations are nearby for easy access. Only negative thing is there is a faint smell which drifts through the room occasionally which might be from the river nearby. "

"I have been staying at the Hotel Metropolitan for over 30 years and it always shines! Everyone is very friendly, the rooms and common areas kept very clean. I did have one issue on this visit as there was an occasional odor in my hallway and room as if the sewer had backed up. I was on the 7th floor. I hope this was temporary and fixable as it was quite unpleasant at times. Thank you."
