"The property was exactly as advertised and our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. The location was great with it being easy to walk to any of the big tourists spots and there was parking. We reached out to the owners several times and they were amazing! The only item of not is the property is on a Main Street in a city across from a bus stop so there is some road noise but that is to be expected."

"I would not recommend staying here. It is not conveniently located, not close to anything that you might be interested in. Very basic amenities. New modern very basic room. Breakfast was pretty good. I found it very expensive for what they provided. I stayed in two other hotels in Reykjavik and they were considerably better value for the money."

"The location of this hotel was excellent. It was close to bus stop #9 which our tour operator picked us up from. It is on a great street filled with shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was filled with a good assortment of foods. The staff was very helpful with answering my questions, getting us a taxi, and holding our luggage due to a late departure so we could still enjoy the day. And for coffee lovers, there is a Starbucks attached."

"The Swan House is in a good area for accessing everything in Reykjavik. The apartment and neighborhood were quiet and the host was so helpful with prompt responses to emails. Lots of pubs and good places to eat within a few blocks. Convenience stores were also fairly close."

Beware that there is no elevator in the adjacent building where we stayed on the 3 floor. Also there was some significant water damage on the wall that did not look good. The dish rack was broken. "This hotel was in the upper range of my price point, but well worth it. The location is down a street from the bars/cafes and souvenir shops and up a street from some classier restaurants. Reykavich pretty much closes down early evening so street noise was never an issue. Our room was spacious by Icelandic standards, clean with a great shower. The breakfast buffet was fabulous so we could have skipped having lunch for the day. Front desk was excellent at handling paperwork and baggage storage....
