We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Song Saigon. The hotel itself has a lovely colonial style and the staff were friendly and helpful. I accidentally left my mobile phone behind and they were incredibly responsive and sent it by motorbike taxi to me so I could continue my trip with it. Unfortunately the hotel speed boat was out of service when we were there, but the taxi ride to district 1 was fine.

The staff are friendly and eager to do to everything they can to support your stay. I have staid there several times over the past few years and like the location. It is right on the river and a nice small quiet hotel. Food is good. They have a water taxi if you want to go into downtown HCM, which is a fun ride. I like that it offers something different to the large, busy “brand” hotels.

A little disappointing

We booked a twin room but none available, but was given a suite for the last night. The first room had plumbing issues, could not control the hot water! and the shower fitting was broken. A noisey building site next door. Mouldy fruit in the room. Breakfast was not a buffet, the staff had never heard of cereal (cornflakes), only one dish allowed together with only one drink. This is strange as the minibar was refilled daily at no charge. We had to sit for breakfast overlooking the Saigon River which would have been great but for the rubbish. They should invest in a permanent barrier to stop this. We got the impression that they would cater more for their outside guests rather than residents.

一人旅でゆっくり滞在しました

はじめに案内された部屋はホテル隣地の建設工事の音がうるさかったので、反対向きに部屋に変更して欲しいとお願いしたら、どうやら空室が無かったようでスイートルームに変更してくれました。 1泊目は最悪でしたが2～4泊目は静かで快適な滞在でした。 騒音についてフロントの方がとても気遣ってくれて、他にも何かあったら連絡してくださいねと親しみやすく話しやすい対応をしてくださいました。 フロントとはWhatsAppでチャットできたので、ちょっとしたことでも気軽に問合せすることが出来て便利でした。 朝食はベトナム料理と洋食のリストから選ぶものでした。毎日美味しくいただきました。 ただ、ディナーメニューは気軽に注文できるようなものが無かった気がします。クラブハウスサンドやバーガーが食べたかったけど無かったのでピザを頼みましたが巨大でした。 プールは深さ1.25Mでしたので大人は常に足がつく安心感がありました。ただ、午前中はダイビングレッスンが開催されている日もあり、泳ぎにいくのをためらうことがありました。 ウォッシュレットが無かったのとシャワーの水圧が弱かったことが残念でしたし、冷蔵庫の中身は無料で一日一回補充とチェックイン時に案内されましたが、水以外は補充されなかったところが、残念ポイントです。 でも、また利用したいと思います。

Charming hotel, friendly staff, but be pre pared to pay for all extra things such as coffee refill for breakfast. And prices are sky high. Last order at restaurant was at 1900, when coming 1904 the restaurant was closed. Will recommend the hotel, but do find an alternative to restaurant.
