There are two types of floats in The Gion Matsuri Parade, Yama and Hoko. There are 23 Yama and 10 Hoko. The Hoko floats can be up to 25 meters tall and weigh up to 12 tons. "The shuttle to kyoto station was very convenient. We were told that the breakfast ran until 10:30. When i went back up to get more food at 10:02 they were starting to put the food away and one of the people was very snotty and pointed at her watch, telling me i could not get any more food. The hotel should not tell people and print on all of their cards and materials that the breakfast runs until 10:30 when that is not actually the case. That really put a bad smell on an otherwise very nice stay. "
