There are two types of floats in The Gion Matsuri Parade, Yama and Hoko. There are 23 Yama and 10 Hoko. The Hoko floats can be up to 25 meters tall and weigh up to 12 tons. "The Nohga line is superior (even to most of the common American hotel names). The vibes are relaxing, modern, but Japanese touches. The hotel is very pretty -- has a beautiful rooftop bar area and an EXCELLENT bakery in the lobby (with vegan options)!!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The concierge will help recommend places if you want to get a foot massage, or head treatment or anything and make the appointments for you. You can also rent eBikes from them if you reserve ahead of time. Loved staying here and if you get the opportunity to stay in this brand of hotels -- you should! "
