"Loved the classical style of this fine Victorian era hotel. We enjoyed the en suite room with a very comfortable bed and fantastic view of the castle and river. The photographs of people and days long gone that lined the hallways and stairways were very interesting indeed and definitely added to the essence of the hotel. Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Lots to like at this well located hotel. Definitely would recommend for a comfortable stay in Inverness."

"Stayed for 4 days and lift was out of order whole time. Man behind bar took several attempts to serve a decent pint. Room was clean , staff pleasant "

"Excellent hotel and staff. Breakfasts are exceptional. Dinners very good. Be aware that the hotel doesn’t serve lunch. "

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no lift so you’ll have to carry your bags (or ask for help). The place is conveniently located with a Spar store on the next block. The room was super cute and comfortable, but a little dusty. It’s an older building, so things are a bit older inside. I’d stay here again and recommend to family and friends. "
