"The B&B is located about two miles off the WHW but Drymen is a lovely village to stop off and refuel/ buy supplies so it makes sense to stop over for the night. Food and drink at the Drymen Inn were great as was the afternoon bar staff upon my arrival. Pint of Tennents is a fiver which is very reasonable in terms of other stops on the trail. The burger took 25 minutes but was worth the wait even though it was too much to eat, it was supposed to have haggis on it but couldn’t see or taste any....

"Nice breakfast, The property looks the same as it did 5 years ago and has lost that cosy feel. It needs a little TLC and it seems to have lost the ‘Scottish roots’ Staff are very polite but wouldn’t say friendly with almost a passive agressive attitude. "

Service at dinner was extremely slow to the point where we had to flag down a different staff member every time we needed something basic like getting water, ordering dessert, or even paying our bill. The restaurant also had the most uncomfortable restaurant chairs ever. Definitely not what we were hoping for after a long hard day of hiking up and down Conic Hill. It literally hurt more to sit than stand"

"Hotel and grounds are rather run down but trying. Bathroom in particular had seen better days. Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room name was Skye. The view was amazing and it was great watching Ferries come and go. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on food. Is a good 1/2 hour walk into town. "I had many thoughts about a hospital hotel. How far from the hospital and would it really be as nice as it looks. Well it was better than expected and the bonus was how it was part of the hospital, we had come by bus / train and so easy to find. Just ask people if you get stuck, bus driver was great. The food used to be amazing here, the ingredients still seemed high quality but the preparation and taste wasn't as good as it used to be. "I gave this hotel a weak rating not because there was anything wrong with the hotel rather, It was my dining experience that was so horrible!!!! What the restaurant really needs is some competition with other dining options nearby. They are the only restaurant available which is apparent by the poor quality of food, high prices and really inefficient service. The servers were all very nice but they clearly need a lot more training. A very disappointing dining experience with a high price tag...
