Located in Drymen, Kip in the Kirk is in the mountains and in a national park. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and Loch Lomond. SEA LIFE Loch Lomond Aquarium and Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre are also worth visiting.
Kip in the Kirk was handy for exploring the area. Frances was attentive and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean with plenty character. Breakfast was not extensive but was good quality and plentiful. I’ve not visited before but would definitely return.
We actually stayed in Hillview Cottage in Drymen owned by the same person Frances. A bit cold at first but once the heat came through it was adequate. Very comfortable, bright and immaculate. Frances delivered continental breakfast in the morning and later joined us for a blather.
Great host and cottage. We hope to return next year.
I was lucky enough to book here at short notice after another hotel in Glasgow cancelled on me but didnt think to tell me about it. I was made to feel very welcome throughout, slept like a log (a snoring one as it turns out!) and was very refreshed the following morning. The place was spotless and had a wonderful warm charm about it. Although I ended up here in a needs must situation I'm glad I did and would absolutely stay again.
