"It is on the outskirts of Gloucester, so was a great location to access the motorway. We enjoyed a good evening meal and took time to use the pool and spa. Paying for parking was the first thing you have to do, before anything and is a negative impact on check in. We had to call reception st midnight as there were people drinking ans shouting outside but they dealt with it straightaway."

"The room was very clean , comfortable bed and crisp white linen and towels. Lots of hot water for a nice hot bath . The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived late in the evening so didn't drink in the bar. The breakfast was brilliant, good quality produce and good coffee. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. "The room was somewhat clean but it really needs a modernisation. As soon as you entered the room, you’d get this old carpet smell that was unbearable. The bathroom was old and bath had many signs of black mould on the silicone and grouts. The sink tap leaked water. Breakfast was mediocre. We asked for a 4£ “specialty” flat white which we could tell right away was straight from a cheap coffee machine. Amenities were ok, the pool area is very tired as well. Receptionist couldn’t be bothered to...

"The Malvern is a hotel run around a health club and spa. The best feature is its restaurant which is modern and serves good food. The spa itself has a nice and warm indoor / outdoor pool but the facilities are dated and tired. The rooms are very tired, think 1970’s travelodge, and in desperate need of an upgrade. Staff pleasant."

"Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is amazing in all respects. It’s historical and very attractive set in extensive grounds. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable.
