"My father and I just had a recent stay at Hotel Borg for three nights. We were very upset with the service from the housekeeping staffs looking after our room. When we first arrived to our room, we found out that our welcome fruit basket was empty. That was not what we expected to see at a (5-star?) luxury hotel (as stated on the hotel’s own website). "Staff was very helpful. We had trouble locking our balcony door and the front desk came up to assist. We stayed in the Pearl room. We didn't realize our balcony was a shared balcony with another room and the common space shared amongst the suites. There were no issues, but would have been nice to know before hand. Overall the room was very clean, very nice, and we enjoyed our stay for 1 night."

"2026年9月16日にチェックインをしてすぐに冷蔵庫へ飲み物を入れるようと開けたら、前宿泊者の物と思われるコンビニに買った？トルティーヤが入ったままでした。
因みにBest before 13 Sep2026でした。ゴミ箱にそのまま捨ててしまうか迷いましたが、移動で疲れたこともあり、翌朝にレセプション スタッフにその旨を話してトルティーヤを渡したところ、「こちらで捨ててってこと？」と言われこちらの顔を見ながら分かりづらいゴミ箱捨てのところに捨ててくださったのですが、「何故部屋のゴミ箱に捨てないんだ…」と思っている感じでした。
冷蔵庫の確認がされていないと思うので、今後そのようなことがないようにハウスキーパーにいちいち伝えることはしないのだとその時思いました。宿泊客の立場を考えることをしないスタッフがいるのは残念でプロではないと思います。"

"My husband stated this was the best hotel he’s ever stayed it! Views are spectacular, breakfast every morning was amazing, bed was very comfortable, shower was great, and the storage was plentiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only issue is it was hard to find the entrance on a Sunday evening since the hotel is just the top floor of an office building and the sign is very small. "Great location made it really easy to explore downtown Reykjavik
the studio was clean and the communication was quick and easy.
A little disappointed after asking for an early check-in and being told 'no'. They did allow us to store luggage which was helpful. But, as we noticed our apartment was being cleaned when we stored luggage, we thought an early check-in could be possible.
