"We loved our 4 nights in Funchal and pleased we stayed at the Caju. The location was perfect in the narrow streets and everything was walkable from here. The reception team were all really lovely and helpful. Breakfast was the best with so much choice. We even ordered our breakfast the night before our airport transfer so we were served promptly. Our room was lovely with a balcony, the only thing that could have made it better was a fly screen on the window so we could open it at night. Thank you so much. "

"Bteakfast was outdtanding. Tons of fruit anything you would want yogurt eggs, bacon etc The bathroom could be a little cleaner. Oir bedroom had no decoration. Beds are good, a titch hard. No pictures and the painted dedk was chipped, drapes old .Really Fantastic location ! We could walj everywhere. The two younger front desk people were fantastic. The older man was not helpful was rude and dismissive. Maybe he needs a vacation."

"Amazing location, everything within walking distance. From the street you need to go up some stairs to get to the reception area, mindful with heavy luggage. Staff are amazing, always very helpful. We stayed 7 nights, I felt there should have been more furniture or atleast some hooks in the bedroom and bathroom. On the plus, comfy beds and an amazing shower, continental breakfast was nice, every day they had a different fresh baked cake, absaloutly delicious 😋"

Listened to us and found the right tours and places for us to visit ant to eat. She is a total credit to the hotel. 🙏"

"I wouldn’t give this hotel a 4-star rating and as a 3-star it was adequate but too expensive. We booked a junior suite and asked for a room on a higher floor but instead were assigned a cramped room on the 1st floor with a small shower for clients with mobility impairment. After some assertive persuasion we got a room on a 2nd floor which was more spatious and bright but with 2 twin beds instead of a queen bed. We also didn’t get a parking spot even though we arrived before noon and there were empty spots. On a positive note breakfast buffet had plenty of fruits, eggs and cheese and a few versions of egg dishes. Pancakes were also tasty. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and blackout curtains were adequate."
