Pros :
Location Location Location : Very close to the river/riverwalk & miracle mile, short walk to the L train system, millennium park & restaurants in general.
Old school charm : The hotel has maintained the old school charm as much as possible in the common areas.
Recyclable bottle stations : They have a water dispenser with a stack of recyclable bottles on every floor (I think) that you can fill, carry & reuse.
Cons :
Room size : Smallest rooms i have ever stayed in in a hotel in the US. We booked a club room with Queen bed. But the bed felt more like a full sized bed. Add 2 side tables, a desk and a chair and the floor space is almost full already.
Layout : The layout of the building is such that our room only get a very narrow view of the street. The windows didnt open whatsoever so no fresh air.
Elevator : During peak hours the elevators take forever to arrive and can only fit 6 people comfortably.
Amenities : The coffee machine didnt work, TV was very laggy and not at all easy to operate, just 2 pillows and both very very high for me. Asked the front desk and they said that's only kind they have. Ended up sleeping on folded towels. Bathroom is kind of tiny as well. Water pressure is very weak in the shower.
