"The hotel is in an excellent location in Old Town Zurich. It is less than 10 minutes' walk away from the main train station. The area is safe and yet convenient, with easy access to lots of main attractions. The hotel is essentially a boutique hotel in a renovated ancient building so it is full of character and yet it has modern conveniences and comfort! The room is very nicely renovated in a rustic yet modern decor, and I like that it has a safe. However, there is no bar fridge inside (though not an issue for me). The breakfast was quite nice - I loved the fact that it had smoked salmon!!! The food variety was decent (though not outstanding, except for the smoked salmon!) and it was served in the Swiss Chuchi Restaurant, which was part of the hotel. It was again full of character and quite charming. The hotel offers half-price entry to the Kunsthaus Zurich, which is an absolutely delightful art museum with a very good collection - it is one of the must-see things in Zurich! The only issue that I had during my stay was that there was a small plumbing issue in my bathroom - given how old the building was, this probably was not surprising - the hotel staff did try to make it work for me and I appreciated it. Overall, I had a very lovely stay! I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again for sure. "

"We really enjoyed staying here. We were able to check in early after a really long flight. Everyone was friendly. We spent a lot of time in the bar and loved Ronnie the bartender. The food was good especially the gnocchi soup. Our view was great and despite it being like really busy outside we didn’t hear any of it. Our room was lovely as well "

"Prior to our stay, I had read the reviews on this hotel and there were many negative comments regarding the tiny rooms and noise from the street. We were only in town for the one night and had a very pleasant experience at this hotel! Excellent location, 4 min walk to the train station. Very friendly staff! The building is on the older side so steps, small elevator and small rooms can be expected. Everything was very clean, bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a quick stay! "

"So overwhelmingly pleased with this hotel! Very nice, clean well appointed. Shower and bed are both fantastic! Probably best bed I slept on in Europe this trip. Only downside is it's a bit away from everything, but only a short walk to trains and stores"
