"The Crane is a lovely hotel with a long history. The hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel has a few nice restaurants nearby but most attractions or city visits require a taxi ride. The concierge can make restaurant reservations and taxi requests for you but look online to book most excursions and if you can book transport with the tour companies. There are a number of good restaurants at the crane - zen and Poesia #3 are in my opinion the best while the village cafe has great coffee, desserts and ice cream. An on/site boutique grocery store allows for small meal prep in your room and is affordable. Lots of entertainers around providing music and laughs and there are also a number of vendors and stores for souvenirs. The pools are great and not crowded and if the seaweed is an issue at the beach (it was for us) the hotel provides easy transportation to another property in town for those wishing to do so. The weather is great down here and I’d head back in a heartbeat!

"Super stay here for Christmas as a couple.
Great location, clean amenities and friendly staff; everyone from the front desk, to the restaurant and the pool bar were lively and helpful at all times of the day offering local recommendations.
Highlights:
- laundry services (washing machine and dryer access) were a great touch as we were staying for a while
- close to Oistins (10-15 min drive)
- great gym facilities
- general layout of the hotel, easy to navigate
- activities organised each day along with live music in the evenings creating a nice buzz without being chaotic
- splendid private beach
Lowlights:
- the strange business of guests reserving sunloungers at 6:30am with towels and not returning until late afternoon leaving a continuous shortage of towels for those who actually need them
- would have been useful to have an introduction to the hotel services upon check-in (i.e. restaurant opening hours, gym location, laundry services, second restaurant, Deia around the corner) etc.
Otherwise, would definitely recommend and will be returning.

"This is a very well maintained resort with a fantastic staff. We stayed 4 nights and if we’d stayed longer would probably have needed to do some excursions and explore more outside dining options as the resort is on the small side, but our experience was first class and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. "
"Beautiful views, excellent drinks and food, impeccably clean! I was particularly impressed by how particular the housekeeping staff were about keeping the rooms clean- they were even mopping the rooms daily to keep the sand out! The beach at this Hilton is easily the best I have ever experienced in the Caribbean (and I have been to a lot of Caribbean Islands) - highly recommend staying here. Some areas for improvement- 1) the restaurants and drinks here are expensive! 2) The amenities could be improved by adding a microwave to the rooms 3)On special occasions like Christmas or New Year’s, while the special dinners at the restaurants are nice to offer, would be good to at least have one restaurant open with the regular menu for guests with dietary restrictions- as a vegetarian, it didn’t make any sense for me to pay USD250 for a special 5-course meal where the only vegetarian course was the dessert! We ended having to do takeout from another local restaurant which was a pain since there are not a lot of options within walking distance and one has to go out into the city. "
