Hotel looks nice from the outside (though a very odd location) & the lobby was nice. However, everything else is severely lacking.. We are a family of 5 & booked a 2 queen room which per their website sleeps 5. I assumed this meant there was a pull out couch in the room as well. There was no couch but only 2 chairs for seating. I asked the front desk if we could have a rollaway bed & was told that it may not be possible as it was a fire hazard in the 2 queen rooms… when I asked how we are supposed to sleep 5 with only 2 beds & informed them that on their website it does show a couch bed, they then offered the rollaway.. No biggie we made it work.
The kids wanted to go swimming in the indoor pool (a main reason I booked this particular property) only to find it was freezing cold. According to the front desk, their heat pump went out about 2 weeks ago & they’ve been trying to heat it by running hot water through a hose from the bathroom.. (it didn’t work) Disappointing, but what can you do?
Returned to our room & my husband was going to shower. Let the water run for 20 mins & not once did it get warm… Went back to the front desk to let them know we had no hot water & was told “oh yeah, there’s been problems with the hot water on that side of the building”… Why put people in rooms when you know there is no hot water?! It would be different if we were only there for one night, but we were booked for 4 nights. That’s too long to expect people to not shower.
