"Lovely, quiet room, breakfast excellent value. Best night's sleep in a while. Wish I could buy Silent Night mattresses in New Zealand. "

"The overall service was very good. There was plenty of safe parking at the back of the hotel. The room was spacious and there was a good choice for breakfast. Were I to need a hotel in the future close to Selby then I would have no hesitation in staying at this one again."

"I stayed here with my partner for 1 night. It was located very near to a venue we were attending so that is how we came to choose this hotel. The room was a good size with a very nice shower room. The water pressure was quite weak however but for one night it wasn’t a problem. Sleep quality was good thanks to a comfy bed and a good temperature in the room. It was New Year’s Eve but we didn’t hear any noise from other rooms or outside. Breakfast was ok but I was surprised to see guests going...

"This holiday home is the most perfect myself and partner have booked. The decor is absolutely amazing and a lot of thought had been put into it by the owners. It is impossible to pick any faults. The home was clean and high standard and quality of equipment and furnishings. Studying the ‘quirky’ decor was an enjoyable time spent. Simon and Lynne were so friendly without being intrusive. The advert does not do this place justice, it was above and beyond our expectations and we shall be back "

"Wonderful one-night stay at Ashbourne House. The room was very spacious, well decorated and absolutely spotless. Great attention to detail - there was even a supply of cotton buds and a small sewing kit! Really conveniently located to get to York centre, and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in! "This was a lovely heritage property located about a 15 minute walk to the centre of York. Staff were very welcoming and the room was spotless and comfortable. (If stairs are an issue for you, there can be many depending on your room floor - just two into the house) Breakfast was delicious and we also enjoyed the communal sitting room and the private parking. Overall, a lovely stay with great value. "
