"This holiday home is the most perfect myself and partner have booked. The decor is absolutely amazing and a lot of thought had been put into it by the owners. It is impossible to pick any faults. The home was clean and high standard and quality of equipment and furnishings. Studying the ‘quirky’ decor was an enjoyable time spent. Simon and Lynne were so friendly without being intrusive. "Lovely hotel nice decor in the rooms. Overall very clean. Beds very comfortable with good quality linen. Pillows were a bit on the gutless side, but lets face it pillows are hard to get right and good ones are pricey.
Breakfast was reasonable with a newly refurbished breakfast buffet area which was nice. Need to think about how the food is kept warm,hot plates would be a good starting point. Really welcoming staff who were attentive, helpful and friendly.

"The room was very nice. A couple of small things: 1- It would have been nice to know there was a flight of narrow stairs to get to room, 2- Bathroom sink is blocked by overhanging cabinets, toothbrushing very difficult, 3- bathroom door drifts open against the bed unless closed and then the bathroom is very hot. "

"Overall, a lovely stay. Two quibbles: 1. Having to pay for parking at £17 per night when you're already paying £200+ for a room 2. The shape of the sinks in the room don't lend themselves to anything in them going down the plug hole e.g. spit, toothpaste and shaving detritus."
"Absolutely could not fault the staff. The room was clean and we enjoyed being close to York St John University and the shopping hub of the city centre. The food was okay although at breakfast there was sometimes bits missing or run out- no hot water for tea, run out of sausages, etc…. The staff were very attentive and the little texts to check in on us during our stay were lovely. "
