"We had a wonderful stay at Spindle Cottage in Bielby. It’s a lovely, traditional cottage full of character, set in a peaceful rural location that’s perfect for switching off and relaxing. Despite the quiet setting, it’s only a short drive to nearby supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, which made it really convenient. The hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. A great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable countryside stay...

Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. "The staff at Ascot House were great. The breakfasts are pretty much set with some exceptions if you don't like something, the chef tries to accommodate when it's possible which is a great thing to be able to offer. The owner June does a great job with keeping Ascot House friendly and accessible to all people. We had a lovely time staying here and visiting York."

"Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for. Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference."
