"We have stayed in Nagaoka a few times. This hotel is the best. The staff are extremely kind and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is probably the best in all of Niigata prefecture. The rooms are renovated leaving us with the best large and highest pressure shower I've ever had."

"Location is good, but room is old and dusty on curtains and corner areas. Can't control air-conditioning temperature, was warm and opened the window then so noisy outside. "

"While not bad, this was not the normal APA experience. The amenities were completely different (in a negative way) compared to normal APA hotels.E.g., the pillows were substandard comoared to the usual APA memory foam pillows. The bath was a Showa period type bucket. Try the one next door, as it is called APA Hotel rather than APA Villa with this one."
