Room was clean, spacious for 2, connects to the station ( however that info should b made clear on the website) staff was pleasant n quick with checking.
Quiet, safe, right beside train station. Good room temperature. Blackout sliding panels on the window, which also served during my cold December three-night stay to keep the room warm at night, preventing heat from radiating out from the large window. The chair at the desk was very comfortable both for working and for reading, with padding on the seat and on the back.
The Art Hotel is literally steps away from the JR Niigata station. The room faced the station so could hear some noise but for the most part it was good. The breakfast with the stay was good with selections. Would recommend staying here.
Clean and quite spacious room. Very helpful staff. Breakfast was pretty good but quite expensive. Great location for centre of town & near a lot of shops & restaurants
Location is mint for this hotel. Between the regulator rail service, to the bullet trains, to the area buses, any the coach buses, you have every availability for transportation at your door step.
The check in/ out counter staff are very helpful, polite, patient, and understanding.
Our deluxe room size was more than enough for a family of 4 people.

Location is great! It's literally next to the station, super convenient. Staff were helpful but could improve in their English as many times we tried to ask them questions, we have to use google translate. Amenities were good. Room size - typical Japanese hotel room😅
From the bullet train gate at Niigata Station to the front desk took no longer than a three and a half minute walk through the station complex. Lots and lots of shops and places to eat on the way.
All hotel staff very efficient and polite. Room not huge as expected but very good spec. Room wasn't facing the station plaza/ bus terminus so very peaceful. Best of all, the hotel restaurant. Buffet breakfast excellent and ¥1700 set dinner was one of the best and most beautifully presented meals I've ever had in Japan.

A simple hotel in the city centre
The property is located in a very convenient location, right above the train station and shopping malls.
Check-in was easy. There is no parking facility in the hotel but it offers discounts for hotel guests to park in nearby facilities. Staff was helpful. Rooms were a bit run down but generally neat and tidy. It was very good for the price.
Convenient location (right next to train station), although could be challenging if you have lots of luggages or need elevator/escalator. The most direct way to hotel elevator required negotiating two short flights of stairs.
Otherwise, great hotel. Appreciated the thick window shade to block out heat and light.
The property is functional, a place to sleep and the bathroom is clean. However, it is quite noisy even past 1 am. The level 2 entrance to the lift lobby has a bit of unpleasant smell.

The rooms were okay. Since it was April, the fan unit only put out heated air. We had to open the window to get to cool down the room.
The breakfast buffet was excellent but the air conditioning system was atrocious. It had only 4 settings: off, low, medium, and high. It was not possible to control the specific temperature or humidity level indoors. Despite turning the heat setting off, the room consistently felt so overheated that I had to open the window, exposing the room to external noise and pollution. At one point despite leaving the window open and the heat off, I returned to find the room sweltering - it felt like over 30 degrees Celsius when the outside temperature peaked at around 20 degrees that day. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who isn’t completely insensitive to temperature.
