"The condo is clean, next to a great swimming and snorkel beach, and has everything you need (pots, dishes, towels etc.). The property itself is old and needs some work, but the condo has been remodeled beautifully. I would recommend a small AC unit for the hot afternoons, but the evenings did cool off nicely. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay here again!"

"It was a lovely place to stay, the host was great, answered all my questions and the place was very clean. A very safe residential neighborhood, the highway is a little bit away, but the ocean is closer and every day you can go out on your balcony/porch and watch the whales and the dolphins."

"If only we could have stayed longer! We had booking the glamping unit, but because of water issues Theresa switched us to the Bungalow, which was so cosy. She agreed alternative breakfast arrangements as we had to leave early on checkout. We only had time to meet the chickens and ducks at the doorstep, but we saw the donkey and goats sheltering from the rain! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're making a trip to Volcano NP. "

"We stayed in the cottage and it was exceedingly charming and comfortable. Staff were truly kind and gracious, and we had two great meals at the main restaurant. The nature trail on the property was a nice bonus. Great location near the national park and close to other restaurants, too. Staying at the Kilauea Lodge was the highlight of our trip."

"If you want an experience and not a hotel, this is a good place to consider. Don’t complain if you wanted a Marriott; it’s not the Marriott. The hostess and host are kind and genuine. The lodging is nestled in a neighborhood, but it feels almost like a jungle. The shower is outside and is reasonably private. Don’t mind the geckos lingering nearby as you enjoy fresh fruit for breakfast."

"Hands-down the best place we stayed during our 2.5 week trip to Hawaii! Barry and Jim were wonderful hosts, we were greeted by Barry as soon as we arrived! He helped get us settled in and showed us around the cabin. The cabin comes stocked with breakfast items, coffee, and fresh fruits! "The hotel reminded me of a Motel 6. The staff is excellent and very friendly, Had the most comfortable bed I've ever had at a hotel. Slept really well. Was a couple minutes from the airport and close to plenty of parks and places to eat. Would recommend getting a rental car so you can enjoy the whole island.
