"Wow! We wanted to stay somewhere walkable to York city centre that also had parking for our hire car and Monkbridge exceeded all our expectations. The warm and informative welcome, the comfortable and beautifully renovated rooms, the cooked to order breakfast, the overall service and all the little extras and touches made our 2 night stay amazing. Thanks so much to our hard working hosts who have also painstakingly restored the building into an amazing B&B! "

"Property was perfect for the price. Clean and welcoming. Shower was nice and the bed was comfortable. I was able to get in touch with the management on arrival. Tap in the ensuite was cold and despite running for a while, did not produce hot water. The building was subject to some noise pollution and you could clearly hear other guests in other rooms. We stayed in 'Viking quarters' which is on 2nd floor above the Goodramgate Apartments shop/office. Apartment is accessed via a side door and up 2 flight of stairs - no problem. We arrived early about 1.30pm but we were able to leave our bags in the apartment and we were given the keys for access after 3pm, after they had finished cleaning. "
