"Seems like a new hotel - quite clean and nice. Staff spoke English and were helpful. Comfortable-sized room - not tiny. Had coffee all day and water, tea, and snacks in evening. Have a nice dining area where could sit.
Train across street and bus stop out front. Kyoto station in walking distance. Good bakery next door and convenience stores and restaurants close by."
"Easily the best hotel experience I had while in Japan. The staff were incredibly helpful, I love the fact that the room came with a tea kettle. Location was easily accessible to the subway. Amenities were top notch. The breakfast spread was excellent. "
"Sunrise Suites is comfortable. The staff is friendly. It's a beautiful property complete with a zen sand garden in the courtyard area. Plus, it's only one train stop from Kyoto station. The location, comfort and aesthetic was exactly what I was looking for. I would stay again!"
"My stay at Tetora Hotel was wonderful. They have a reservable private bath on the first floor. My room was very comfortable with a tub in my bathroom. The breakfasts were different every day with several choices. The location was directly across the street from a 4 story mall and a couple if blocks to the train station. The staff were very helpful. I really enjoyed my 3 days here.

"Well overall it is ok. Double meals was unexpected better than one can think.
Don't forget to prepare for Kyoto accommodation tax. I wish I could have paid together from the beginning.
However it is quite far from subway station so be mindful."
