Can be noisy at night with crowds but if you choose to stay here you should expect it. My only suggestion is to replace the mattress. It feels worn and saggy. Joivy was a great company to work with. We stayed in the Locke Studio and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a washer and dryer, plates, fridge, it was like a mini apartment! "1st and best: you could not find a more helpful, professional and lovely staff. 2nd: The Scotsman is a step away from The Royal Mile: so museums, the Castle, Holyrood, restaurants, St. Giles,etc. Walking is easy. Shopping is a given. One thing to know about The Scotsman: there are stairs. The lift is in the process of repair so there are lots of stairs. But that being said: staff will help with all of it. "
