Vicki and Tim were lovely hosts, beautiful guest house, central to windermere and bowness, lovely room, we stayed in room 7, the shower is the best shower we have used. Nice little touches in the room with a mini fridge, bottled water and fresh milk, Amazing breakfast, we will definitely be returning.

The service was second to none. The breakfast and the room were exceptional. The owners even had a counter with homemade snacks. Conveniently situated at a walkable distsnce from Bowness and Windermere. We cannot wait to come back!

The best guest house
Tim couldn’t do enough for us the best guest house l have ever stayed in , the bed was so comfortable . The breakfast was exceptional a good choice and plenty if you wanted it . The tea and coffee choice was very good . The whole of our stay was exceptional 10/10

Beautiful, charming B+B
This is honestly the nicest B+B!! Spotlessly clean, perfect location (halfway up the hill between Bowness and Windermere) breakfast was lovely and lots of choice, beds were really comfy and there was tea/coffee/hot choc in the room along with mini fridge with fresh milk and bottled water.

Perfect stay
Brilliant stay in Room 4. Tim & Vicki couldn’t do enough for you. Great breakfast (and flapjacks), 10 mins walk to Windermere and 15 to Bowness. Will definitely be back!

Relaxing and comfortable
Tim and his wife were very welcoming from the time we entered. We had a gorgeous room with a nice garden view and comfy bed. The shower was amazingly refreshing. My mum and I had a wonderful stay and made lots of memories and pictures. Thank you. Will definitely visit again with husband.

Really enjoyed my stay, everything was excellent from the warm and helpful welcome when I arrived. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast superb. I didn't have my car on this trip, Windermere and Bowness centres are easy 15min walks away. Will definitely look to return here on my next trip to the Lakes.

Excellent stay! Easy access to Orrest Head!
Very clean and tidy room with 360 degrees oscillating stand fan and little fridge for soft drink and wine which are treasures during a hot week in Lake District. Good location with very good service and superb breakfast. Thank you Tim and Vicky, hope we can come back again for another holiday!

Tim and Vikki were absolutely amazing, they could not do enough for us. Breakfast is amazing, can tell that they use good quality food. Guest house is close to bowerness and windermere. Lovely little villages. Overall we would definitely recommended, you will not be disappointed.

During our recent stay at Fir Trees Guest House, we had the pleasure of experiencing the warm hospitality provided by the owners. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a friendly smile and a genuine willingness to ensure our stay was comfortable. Each morning, my partner and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast. I was impressed by the quality and presentation of the food, which exceeded my expectations. Also, owners make good recommendations for day trips in the area. Overall, we really did enjoy our stay(the bed was comfy and our room and bathroom were really clean). It's a great place to stay.

Wonderful B&B

Perfect Weekend Away
Vicki and Tim were brilliant, we arrived on the friday for a two night stay. The little touches made it a brilliant stay from flapjacks on arrival to a gluten free snack as soon as vicki found out my girlfriend was GF. Breakfast was lovely, full english one day and pancakes the next. Room was clean and tidy and everything we needed, car park at the front of the house. B&B is in the perfect position to walk to bowness or windermere and outside a bus stop which meant getting to ambleside was a breeze. Mini fridge, wine glasses, coffee/tea and shampoo. Owners were nice and relaxed and made us feel so welcomed. Lovely lovely stay and would recommend to family and friends. Thanks Vicki and Tim, we will be returning

Above and beyond
The room was spotless and comfortable, en-suite and a small fridge in the room. Could not have got better hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was 1st class, with lots of choice and there's enough parking too. There is complimentary fruit and bottled water if you want it also. Would not hesitate to stay again.

I knew I was in a special guesthouse when I found myself saying I was heading back 'home' after dinner on the 2nd evening. Fir Trees was a home away from home. Felt at ease and very warmly welcomed by Tim & Vicky. Loved the attention to detail such as the homemade flapjacks and the fruit bowl in the hall. Very good breakfast menu & very comfortable beds. I recommend Fir Trees wholeheartedly.

The Fir Tree’s Guesthouse
This guesthouse was a delight to stay in can not recommend it enough from the attentive hosts who absolutely went the extra mile to ensure our stay was as great as we expected for example there was always a large dish in the hallway filled with fresh fruits and homemade flapjacks which were amazing The breakfast was fantastic and our every need was catered to Our room was serviced daily and the special touches made us feel at home I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone and we look forward to staying there again
