"Not a long walk to downtown (although I am an avid walker). The hotel isn’t modern by any means but the staff have always been kind, attentive and professional. The rooms are clean and everything works. Wifi is good. There’s no view and some traffic noise, but it is convenient to arrive at from the ferry—for those wanting a downtown Victoria experience. "

"Met our needs as a basic apartment hotel. Staff very friendly and place clean. Check in quick. Noise due to street traffic and location but to be expected when so close to tourist areas and China town. We were not concerned about the noise as we wanted to be walkable to attractions and dining in Victoria without a rental car. Very easy to get around downtown Victoria."

"The included buffet was delicious and convenient (they will rotate their protein each day: bacon, sausage, ham). They do have the option to check in and out using their online service which they email 24 hours before you check in or out. In person check in process easy, there is a $200 refundable deposit. If you are on the first floor you might hear the floor noise above if they are rolling their luggage or pulling a chair out. Other than that it is quiet."

"Amazing location, close to everything and walkable. Lots of old world charm and very nice staff. Don't book this place if you don't want to adhere to their dress code -- they make it very clear, and it's part of the charm. The breakfasts and dinner we had at the restaurant were even better than expected. Some of the rooms have been redone, and so have not, so there is a variety of quality there. The hotel notifies you when you book that the rooms don't have air conditioning and certain rooms look out over the street and harbor and can be a little noisy if you keep the window open. I closed the window and didn't have any trouble with noise; the room came with a table fan. The bathrooms are a little dated and there there was one step up into the bathroom in my room.
