Incredible views from the room and dining room. The rim restaurant was fantastic! Can't beat waking up in the morning and seeing the Crater and the steaming volcano.
Historic property with nice rooms and public areas. Amazing views of the volcano and you can't beat the convenience of staying here if you're planning on hiking the park. The staff is very nice and helpful.
We stayed in this property for one night while exploring the island. The hotel has great character and the staff were all very friendly. The excellent location on the edge of the volcano and the nice food in the restaurant made it an enjoyable stay.
Staying on the volcano rim was amazing - the view from volcano house is spectacular - access to the walking tracks is at your doorstep. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Staff were super helpful.
The room was clean and the view was amazing. Everyone at the Volcano House was very helpful and friendly. There was no air conditioning but there was a fan in the closet and it was very pleasant. The history of this place is so neat. There is a refrigerator but no microwave which would have been handy to warm up left overs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
Great view of the volcano from our room and dining area and it was active! Staff was great, food was great and our room is really comfortable. No TV but who cares when you can watch a volcano erupt

Spacious room, clean , comfortable bed, quiet at night. Building showing its age, but is cosy. Great views from dining)bar areas. Evening meals good choice and good quality.
Nice staff and good service
Best location for volcanoes, trails and national Park.
Breakfast isn't great, traditional buffet self serve, only filter coffee, food&coffee wasn't good quality.
Very convenient location, right in the middle of the park overlooking a volcano. Kind and friendly staff, and quality meals. Good NPS lodge experience!
Since we spent two days at the national volcano park, it was perfect to spend the night right there at the Volcano House. We also liked that it is a historic property sitting at the edge of the crater rim.
