"I stayed at The Hive Hotel for four nights in May 2026. Overall, the hotel itself is fine. The location is convenient, just a short walk from Termini Station, the rooms are modern and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The rooftop terrace is a nice bonus with decent views, and the hotel feels relatively new and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the front desk/reception staff completely ruined the experience. Their attitude was consistently rude and dismissive from the moment I arrived. Check-in was cold and unwelcoming, and whenever I had a question or needed assistance, I was met with eye-rolling and very poor customer service. On one occasion, I was spoken to in a condescending tone that felt completely unnecessary. It genuinely felt like we were bothering them by being guests. The hotel itself is okay and I wouldn’t mind recommending it for the facilities, but the terrible treatment at reception makes me say this clearly: I will never stay here again."

"Paid for breakfast when i booked but when we arrived they tried to charge us 18 euro per person per day, then the ac we couldn’t use unless we paid more and its a per day rate of 30 euro. The pillows are hard and the bed sheets kinda itch. the “do not disturb” sign is optional for them had it on the door but they insisted on knocking louder until you answer. The first day we wanted to sleep in after a 16 hour flight and the maid didn’t know English so another guest nocked for her and was yelling through the door but i couldn’t understand because he spoke Spanish I believe. If you want a quiet stay i suggest a better location especially for food or stores. Its very loud and the “sound proof” rooms are a lie you can hear foot steps, kids crying and adult activities. If you want a kinda cheap place to stay and don’t t mind the bs then its the spot for you."

"Everything was perfect. Outside of the city center so ended up using taxis a couple of times, but the hotel offers shuttles near the colosseum daily."

"The Aparthotel Colombo Roma. This was a little further out of the city than I had thought, and not the easiest of things to find. On a main road between a row of shops and apartments there is a security gate through that and down an ally you find this hotel, very trendy, warm and welcoming. Staff were so helpful and friendly, breakfast was between 7-10 each day i never used this as i was out early. The room was very clean with a kitchenette with a fridge combi microwave and a dishwasher yet no pots! The transport network is good lots of busses outside the hotel the 160 and L70 both go close to the Colosseum and Trevi fountain. The Garbatella Metro station is about 10 minutes walk basicly turn left out of the hotel walk down to the traffic lights and turn left again just follow that road all the way to the motorway bridge and the station is on the left. I paid €22 for a 72 hr pass on all public transport Metro, Bus and Trams. Overall I enjoyed my stay and it was a good base. "

"Hotel staff very friendly and eager to make your trip special. They off plenty of suggestions for restaurants and shops. The rooftop bar is the perfect spot for Aperitivo."
