We love this place and have stayed here twice now. The S’mores kits, fire pits, bicycles, swings, and drinks are all great amenities that make the stay great. Each trailer is unique!
Waypoint is very pet friendly. We stayed the night with our dog and she was comfortable in the trailer. The train passing startled her a bit but after one or two passes she was fine. The room was so cool to stay in. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There are lots of activities to do on property and lots of things to do in a walkable distance. We are excited to stay at Waypoint again!
beautiful propert, also gated at 6pm. quiet, relaxing and super close to the beach and pier! staff was wonderful! the coffee and cookies in the morning rule!!
This was my third time staying at Waypoint. If Waypoint is an option, I will always take it. My teens and I am pretty much used every option available, which included s’mores, bikes, games, fresh squeezed orange juice, cookies, and the lemon chia cups. We walked to the pier, and then walked downtown. Then, we went to Ventura Music Hall and saw The Ultimate Doors (tribute band, of course), and they were amazing! We stayed in The Aluminaughty, and it was the perfect size for three of us. We did notice the shower inside the trailer ran out of hot water quickly, but we just used the other showers near the entrance. I love those showers since they are big, clean, and all of the amenities are provided there as well. I can’t wait to stay here again!
This is honestly one of the cutest places I’ve ever stayed. The attention to detail is amazing with their home grown passion fruit desserts, their fresh baked kitchen sink cookies, the smores they hand out to guests for the multiple fire pits, they also provide oranges so you can squeeze your own juice. Staff was amazing. They have corn hole, hammocks, free bikes and a game room. It’s just a stones throw from the beach. I can’t wait to go back!
Geneva and Leo were awesome and always ready to help us with anything we needed or asked about. We've been here 3 times and will be back. So many restaurants and breweries are so close most of it walking distance.
So many special, thoughtful touches and great service. Loved our stay!!! Exceeded our expectations and our airstream was so so comfy and had everything we needed!
Loved our one night stay at Waypoint. Our trailer was immaculate, much cleaner than most hotels we have stayed at. We loved all the little comfort items that came with our stay. Eye masks, gourmet teas and coffees, toiletries. And the fresh squeezed orange juice was the cherry on top.
Love everything about this place! Ready to convince my family & friends to rent out multiple spots this summer. Free bikes, coffee, water, s’mores, hot cocoa, & more! We stayed in trailer #6 and loved it - it was spacious, has a nice bathroom, and in a great location on the lot with good shade.
This place is a gem from check in to check out! Incredible experience and wonderful, thoughtful and accommodating staff. Thank you, Waypoint! Can’t wait to return :)
It was a fun experience to stay in an airstream. It was well appointed and very clean. Sitting out at a fireplace and making smores was great and offered a nice small breakfast in the morning.
We absolutely loved our stay at Ventura Waypoint. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The trailers are so cozy and the park and amenities are wonderful. It is within walking distance of the crossway to the beach, and to many downtown attractions. The extras really make you feel taken care of, from the s'mores to the fresh squeezed orange juice and homemade cookies.
We stayed in an Airstream trailer. It was so cute. The bed was super comfortable. The best sleep Eve!

Retro Experience
Lovely stay and hope to return, staff very friendly and nice additional touches. If you can choose a trailer in the circle although all are nice. Train does not run at night and always a cool ocean breeze. Can walk to town and lots of great places to eat within walking distance. Great location for cyclists to hop on the Ventura or Ojai trail. Amazingly restored and wonderful history on each unique camper.
We previously lived in Ventura and come in for a quick couples date night so we are very familiar with the area. The location and access to the beach, restaurants, entertainment is great. The park has a nostalgic feel with thoughtful touches such as the corn hole set, community fire pit, complimentary coffee and s’mores, water bottles and coffee creamer in the fridge, selection of tea leaves, sleeping/eye masks on the pillows, private patios and beach comber bike access (wish we knew about the free bike usage beforehand). Our only complaint is there were no utensils/plates and the old school coffee pot in the room was a hassle. Why have a BBQ pit with nothing to put your food on? Bright back leftover from a local eatery, better cut up that steak before you bring it back to your trailer. Other than that, the location is great and the feel is wonderful.
A neat alternative to a hotel or Airbnb. Basically glamping in the city. The vintage trailers have been nicely restored and maintained. Fire pits get lit at night and nice hanging by fire with wine and not having to do any of the work. The property is located close to train tracks and at first I was worried but trains stop around 9pm.
