"The separated toilet/sink and shower areas on opposite sides of the room with the bed in the middle was not an ideal layout. Having to essentially walk in a U shape to go from the shower to the sink area was annoying. There was no fan so had to keep the windows open during showers. The shower area had very minimal storage space so that was a disappointing and hard to maneuver. There was also only a shower curtain to keep the water at bay but that barely does anything so it was a super wet area....

"Overall clean room (some crumbs in kitchen) and as described. No staff present but instructions were clear in an email. Would recommend as it’s close to many attractions in Akureyri."

"We arrived at the apartment with no check-in information. Nothing by e-mail,so we called the office to get the room number and door code. Unfortunately the room was occupied by other two guests, they were shocked. That was the wrong number we got. I tried to call the office again and again and gain the line was so busy and coursed more expenses for telephone bill roaming charge. After the fifth call, we finally got the correct code and room munber"

"The property is located in the downtown area. Close walk to all the external restaurants and shopping. The beds were way too soft. It felt like you were sleeping on a bag of marshmallows. "Very spacious and clean with a lot of amenities. It had tons of character, but the floors squeak a bit and some doors cannot close without locking. Nothing unexpected for a historical property. Very nice stay!"

"We were there for two nights, and the first night was OK. Noisy location, with people yelling on the street right in front of the hotel until 1:00, during our second night at the hotel. Then heavy machinery started operating on the street at 6:30, during one hour. Earplugs made no difference. The same night around 22:00, there was a fire alarm, that made us go downstairs to evacuate the building.
