"We stayed three nights at the Hotel Square in Tomintoul. Although this is an older facility which could use a few updates to rugs, curtains, etc., we were very happy there. The hotel is clean, beds are super comfortable and the rooms are large and supplied with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good! Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful, providing great service. We had a lovely stay!"

"Friendly and welcoming staff. Unexpected room upgrade upon arrival which was wonderful. If you want charm in a beautiful Highlands locale along the whisky trail, this is it. Dinner was incredibly delicious in the hotel's dining room. Their chef is out of this world. Bar has every whisky known to man ... kidding of course, but they are well stocked and knowledgeable. We stayed one night and wished we had booked a longer visit. It was meant to be a stop on our way out of a two day drive through...
"The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. When we were booking the hotel, we knew it had swimming pool and other amenities and it looked great on the photos. The opinions were mixed and honestly I don't know why, the room was clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the dining was delicious! We were amazed by the amount of thing happening in and around the hotel, and the actual amount of facilities the hotel provides. We will definately be back to make the full use of the facilities! "Check in was easy you get a code sent for the front and room door, very well equipped with a small kitchen area with a fridge which when travelling with a dog was really useful for the food. Bed lovely and comfy with a small balcony area to sit out and as the weather was so good was perfect. Ample parking with a very short walk into Aviemore, plenty local shops, cafes and pubs/restaurants to choose from
