The Strings is a world class hotel -- great rooms and amenities. The breakfast buffet is one of the best around Tokyo in its price range. Located next to Shinagawa Station, the hotel is highly convenient to the train system, including the Shinkansen, and to Haneda Airport.

The Strings Hotel is incredibly convenient, not only to Shinagawa Station but to an Atre department store and quite a few good restaurants in neighboring buildings. Comfortable spacious rooms, great breakfast buffet.

The best hotel in Tokyo

The best hotel we have stayed at for a very long time. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and spacious - and the view from our room at 31 floor - amazing. We could see Mt Fuji several time and Tokyo skyline at night. And the breakfast was probably the best we ever had on a hotel - so delicious - and the seating in the breakfast restaurant was top. The only minus is the area - it is a bit quiet - but that was just what we needed after 3 weeks in Japan and it was very close to Shinagawa station where the train to Haneda airport depart from. If we come to Tokyo again we would definitely choose this hotel again

Very convenient location but Shinagawa is a crowded station with subpar dining and shopping by Tokyo standards. The hotel is nice and the king bed is especially good. But the room is a bit small and there's also no pool.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was very close to the train station and one of the reasons we picked it. The room were nice although some of the windows overlook other quest room so it was a little intrusive in privacy.The gym was a little small. Overall are stay was nice and it was a good value.
