"Restaurant has a reasonable range of food for dinner and a great breakfast. Room is a little tired but functional.
Staff were happy to provide extra tea and milk
Bed was large and comfy though we both struggled with the pillows.
Aircon worked well and it was nice to be able to open a window. Plenty of parking though no longer free as we booked before the charge we were provided free parking. "
"Hotel room was fine. Staff was very cordial and helpful at all times. Cafe and bar area was enjoyable. Nice breakfast was served. Only issue was we could have used a newer or better mattress."
"White Star is an excellent small hotel right in the middle of town with lots of options nearby. The rooms are small but extremely comfortable and clean. Free breakfast and amazing lunch and dinner options."

Malcolm meet us as hosts were out, what a fantastic man, so friendly and funny and even offered to taxi us to our party as no taxis available. Great one night stay, Graham and Kay are excellent hosts , breakfast was fantastic .cheap local parking a bonus .

"This is a charming property with a wonderful Italian restaurant downstairs. Be prepared-there is no elevator to the guest rooms but we will definately stay here prior to a Southampton cruise."
