Liked the modern look. Gym facilities looked excellent. But, don’t have a room above the gym as the noise in the early hours was not good. Could hear the barbells being used and the thumps of the battle ropes!
Clean and modern hotel equipped with the very best gym I've ever experienced in a hotel.
Also nice to have a Starbucks and a pub in the lobby...everything I'd need in a hotel!!
This is a nice quirky hotel and our apartment was very well appointed. The aircon was a blessing and while we are a travelling couple, our grandkids would have loved staying here too. Simple things like the pool being adults only from 7 to 9 morning a night, excellent food and drinks, great parking. Only three floors high but lack of a lift was a small problem
This hotel is a lovely modern hotel with compact rooms. The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Ensure you ask for a room on a higher floor, as floor 2 has huge noise issues from approx. 5am onwards. The gym is below, and the noise from the weights being dropped is so loud. Thankfully the music didn't start until 8am, but if you're there for a peaceful getaway then plan carefully. We didn't arrive to the hotel until 2am after a long drive, and managed only a few hours sleep. The staff were aware of the issue, but unfortunately don't have much control. We were offered some drinks in Starbucks as compensation, but I would have preferred a sleep before our cruise!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Room was clean and tidy, good amenities and friendly staff
This was our first stay at a Village Hotel, and unfortunately, the experience was mixed.
The Club Room was clean, but the decor and layout felt more like student accommodation than an upgraded hotel room. The bathroom’s glass door offered limited privacy, and we were surprised to find only one welcome sweet provided for two guests.
We had reserved a table in the restaurant, but when we arrived, it was very busy and our table was occupied by other guests, so we decided to leave.
An additional duvet had been requested and confirmed before arrival, but it was missing from the room. Attempts to contact staff through the web chat went unanswered. We eventually found someone at Reception, but they also struggled to reach Housekeeping. The duvet eventually arrived, although resolving a previously agreed request should have been much simpler.
On the positive side, breakfast offered a good selection, the room was clean and the parking facilities were excellent.
Overall, the hotel was adequate, but the room and service fell below our expectations. Better communication and attention to requests made before arrival would significantly improve the guest experience.
The property was relatively new and as such was to a generally good standard. The cleaning needs some improvement. Clearly skimped a bit on bathroom floor as was remains from previous occupants by way of confetti/sequence and various ‘bits’ suggestion a mop had been pushed around but nothing picked up. Would do with a good hoover.
Main issue though was the noise from some continuous machine outside the bedroom door. The ding from nearby lift came through to room loud and clear. The slamming/heavy closing of other bedroom doors. All of these made for late night and early wake-ups. Not what I would expect from such a hotel.
