  • Q Square mall-- not exactly a tourist destination (there are many malls in Taipei) but it's a nice mall located close to Taipei Main station (Metro/MRT) if you're looking to escape the heat. Huge food courts here too with lots of options (and obviously shopping). This mall also has a movie theatre, which shows mostly American movies (but cheaper). It's also about a 10-15 walk to the historic Dihua street, one of the oldest areas of the city which was once the main market area (still lots of interesting shops there that cater to the local...good photo opps too with some older buildings)

Service here goes beyond the typical 5 star hotel. Rooms are very spacious, clean and new. Great location and easy to get anywhere. Most staff can speak English, Japanese, and Mandarin. Me and my wife are so happy we chose to stay here.

It was a very pleasant hotel to stay and return to, for the staff are professional and very nice people. Rooms are nice and well maintained. Buffet breakfast room can be updated and redesigned for 2026 and beyond. Gym staff are very nice too and maintained. Love to return again next year.

Great location. Room was spacious and clean. Service was also very professional. The only draw back was the health club. The spa is supposed to be a silent bath but the health club members often talk loudly and no staff was there to monitor the rule.

Perfect Long Weekend in Taipei

This hotel was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived the staff were so attentive and friendly. The room was lovely with a large bath, perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring Taipei. The hotel is very central and close to the MRT station.

My husband and I absolutely loved the experience. Their staff was amazing, breakfast was delicious. Because we booked in English, that's how they answered the phone when we called down to front desk. I had a fabulous stay at the Okura Prestige for a week in April. The location is perfect, in a central shopping and eating neighborhood without being overly hectic. The staff was extremely accommodating and may me feel special with each encounter. The room was immaculate with nice appointments. I will stay there in my future visits to Taipei.
