"I booked this as it’s my birthday week. The owner was friendly, greets us every time we arrive. When we arrived he apologised as there’s a glitch where he can’t find our booking, but he still entertain us and gave us a free upgrade. "Lovely place to stay! Can’t make any complaints. Affordable meals and drinks. I stayed in the dorm. Only a few PowerPoints but we made do! Easy enough to catch a bus to and from!"

"Friendly staff and always willing to help. Room service is limited to maid service only and not for food orders. We particularly loved this retreat because it is true to its nature. No Wi-Fi access in the room, no TV or any landlines. Rooms could use a better gap protection at front doors and windows to keep bugs and small lizards outside the rooms. Retreat offers a variety of daily activities for kids and adults but be cautious when you venture out on the beach because the beach sand is littered with broken glass specially on the village beach that is located right next to the retreat."

Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa

"Overall enjoyed the stay at this resort. The room, location and staff were all great. The amenities are handy, the rooms are generally clean including the bedding and towels, the reef views and variety of activities available daily made it a great place to say. The only downside was the restaurant. And unfortunately this was a massive let down. It took a long time in the evening before staff would take an order for food & drinks. One night it took over 40 minutes for us to get a round of drinks ( a single bottle of wine with 2 glasses I ordered at the bar myself after not being able to flag down a staff member), the bar tender said they would bring it to the table so I waitedanother 15 minutes I returned back to the bar to get it myself. The whole process from ordering drinks and food to receiving drinks and food took about an hour and a half. Service (outside of the breakfast buffet) would take roughly an hour before. The food, when it did arrive was always average. This included undercooked fries and pizzas, old rice and bland dishes. Breakfast buffet was hit and miss too, literally 50/50. A couple of the days I stayed it was great and a couple the scrambled eggs were watery and wet or there were multiple whole yokes not mixed it. We were lucky enough to have had a hire car so we were easily able to explore other venues for food."

"The resort is a serene paradise, the staff were extremely friendly and the views were incredible everywhere. The reef wing (adults only) is worth the upgrade as some rooms are slightly dated. The amenities, views, and friendly staff make this resort. The massage was also incredible. The downsides were the communication, we had to ask three times for synthetic bedding as I am allergic to feathers. When we got a late check out the housekeepers out kept knocking to see if we were checking out. We also changed rooms and I accidentally left some belongings in the room and the housekeeper threw them out which was frustrating. Overall I would recommend to stay in the reef wing."

Being right on the beach was beautiful and we were able to do a lot of activities through the resort. Although the standout were all of the lovely friendly and helpful staff! "We love this small resort in Korotoga on the Coral Coast and this was our third visit. The buildings maybe a bit tired but the rooms are spacious and clean with views overlooking the lagoon. The grounds are immaculate. The resort has a laid back relaxed feel and the restaurant has a good selection of food and drink. The best part are the staff who are all lovely."
