Hotel Raito

"This was mine and my wife’s second stay at the stunning Hotel Raito on the Amalfi coast. Just a 45min taxi from Naples and couldn’t be situated in a more breathtaking part of the coastline. The hotel and its staff are 5* all the way, so attentive and caring with nothing too much trouble, Giovani at the pool bar, Carmelo and Kate at the lobby and Ido the waiter all made our stay so special. The rooms and views within are simply stunning. Superb food choices at the hotel restaurants and the handy free shuttle bus from the hotel into the local village of Vietri is another must with lots of choices of shops bars and restaurants as well as the beach."

"4 person room was ample and the view was amazing. Breakfast was nicely presented and not rushed. The pool area was well maintained and great for relaxing in, the water was a tad chilly getting to get into but great to cool down in after the hottest summer on record! All staff incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, with nothing too much bother to research if requested. The walk into the town (and therefore back up again in the evening) was the only downside but with careful planning this could be just once/day and the escalators going part of the way back up certainly helped! Definitely worth the money and we highly recommend."

"The hotel is on the coast line and is lovely, rooms could do with a bit of updating. Staff friendly and can speak English. It’s a 15 minute walk up a hill to the town for restaurants and shops - buses don’t seem to run in the evenings. So maybe not a good choice if you have travellers with mobility concerns. Old town centre is very pretty. There is not much for kids to do though. Also, I didn’t take into account that the hotel charge for the ‘private beach’. It’s not actually a beach, but a decking into the water. This is 15 euros per day, per person. 20 euros at weekend. Apparently this is cheap …. There is a free public beach which is 15 mins walk down the hill. It’s a bit of a squeeze but ok for kids. This is probably more of a hotel for couples than families."

"Nous sommes restés trois nuits à l’hôtel plaza de Salerne. Le personnel était très accueillant et sympathique. Ils répondaient à nos questions et étaient très heureux de pouvoir nous aider. L’emplacement est de loin un élément clé. À pieds, il est à 1 min de la gare et à 5-6 minutes de la Piazza concordia où vous trouverez les traversiers pour les différentes villes de la côte. C’était vraiment apprécié!"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area, and the accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff was truly amazing—kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality really made our stay special. This was such a lovely experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. We would definitely stay here again. "Our stay was superb from start to finish. The property is situated on a beautiful cliff overlooking the sea. The accommodation is surrounded by lovely flora and fauna. Upon arrival, Illinia, the property manager, warmly greeted us with a tour of our beautiful suite, beautifully decorated with local ceramics. We had a small fridge that was well stocked with refreshing beverages and snacks. As we sat on our private balcony that overlooked the Sea we enjoyed the light breezes and fresh aromatic air, and we decided we arrived in heaven!Every morning we were presented a delicious breakfast of fresh fruits and vegetables, local meats and cheeses, assortments of pastries and lovely coffees, espresso and cappuccinos to dine on at the beautiful spacious common patio. The beach down below was fun with lots of lunch places to enjoy fresh seafood. The water was clean and blue and very refreshing. In the evening, we sat at our patio, sipping wine and overlooking the blue moon. As a former innkeeper and traveler, I believe that this property has everything one would want while visiting the Amalfi."
