"I booked the small room and was surprised how spacious and comfortable it is. It’s a very old building, room is well appointed and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast delivered to room each morning was convenient and delicious.

Told to wait 45 mins for someone to come and re set until she remembered emergency key in cupboard in hallway. Flat lovely inside however bathroom lock was broken and no cold water coming through the shower scalding us. Reported but nonresponse. Fans on and off from building next door. When going out in the morning seeing the entrance in daylight was horrible. Bins and just not a safe looking place....

"The Lion is a traditional pub/hotel in a lovely quiet village. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, food is excellent, rooms are spacious and clean with tea and coffee facilities. We will return here and I recommend staying here."

"Second visit to this hotel and really enjoyed the comfortable bed, lovely spa and good bar food. It is a little remote so not ideal if you need to be right on top of things but the nearby town of Bicester covers that."
