I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !"

"I wouldn’t really say I’m a fussy person, I can put up with a lot and I’m quite resilient but my ‘stay’ at The Jersey Arms hotel was a very good way to force some impromptu character development and really make me contemplate a lot of my life choices. "The dinner was expensive, service was good. The room was clean , tidy but the shower dribbled water out & toilet wouldn't flush properly. I think there's an issue with old plumbing. Gym was reasonable. Check out easy. "

"If you want a good nights sleep don’t go here . Not the owners fault early morning bin wagons market setting up . Quality of the room was poor shower door missing hairs on the bathroom floor. Mattress was like a bed of nails"

"Room was eh, very noisy and zero air flow. Smelled very moldy and my nose is stuffed up after in night. Decided to eat local at the restaurant and was a disaster. €60 for two people and was the worst risotto, basically eating straight pepper seasoning, my GF had a burger and was so spicy she was sweating. Then had to wait nearly an hour to get a desert, that tasted very off, like expired tasting. To top it off, not really a reception, so you have to go to the bar, and wait like you are...

"Great location. Quiet and peaceful hotel. Lots of natural light and cool breeze from the garden. The kitchenette has a real small sized refrigerator and not the useless dorm sized one. Waking distance to many great restaurants in Summertown with easy bus access to Oxford city center. "

"The hotel was really good value for money, rooms were very clean, a little too warm and we couldn’t turn the radiator off in the bathroom! Easy ride on the bus into town and close to the shops and restaurants of Summertown however the best thing about the hotel is the staff, we didn’t see many of them, just Lucas doing the cooking and his colleague (didn’t catch his name, sorry!) who was doing everything else! Really friendly, outstanding breakfast, nice room and great value!"
