"The chef was outstanding, Nalin had 28 years experience and presented us with meals of a high standard with great service. They were in the process of renovating but this did not deminish our experience. All the staff were friendly and the meals were inexpensive. Areas for improvement: no towles supplied initially (had to ask), lack of toiletries in the room (no hand soap), wifi does not work, food at restaurant quite expensive. We wanted to have two beds but the rooms have inbuilt king beds so there was a small uncomfortable single bed added. No room service unless you ask and provide your...

"This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food. "Danu's homestay is the real experience. 5 star service with many smiles. If your looking for an authentic Sri Lankan homestay experience, this is it. Sigiriya is a beautiful little town and Lion Rock is a must do. Get up early to beat the crowds and heat. It opens at 7am. We hired a scooter but Charu the father will drive you if needed. The family are absolutely loving,kind and generous. Make sure you have dinner with them. One of the best meals I've had in Sri Lanka. Now for the suprise...
