"This hotel is in sigiriya which is a village type community near Sigiriya Rock. So you don't expect facilities you might find in a large city. The room was spacious safe and quiet. There was no fridge or tv which was fine. There are no supermarkets in this area but there were adequate dining options nearby. The hotel was perfectly comfortable for a short stay in Sigiriya."

"Staff was excellent. She made special vegetarian food for me. Lot of greenery. Room is ok not that great. Too many insects because of bushes and trees all around the property. Gieco running on the floor of the room. Had to go to the front desk every time for service. No phone/TV in the room. No light switch above the bed. Had to go to the front door to turn off lights and walk in the dark to the bed. Not convenient at all."

"Great location for visiting sigiriya, but despite coming up as "Dambulla" on the map, it's about a 20 minute drive from there. Busses to Dambulla run from the end of the road and are quite regular. "The family that runs this homestay is so incredibly sweet. They don't speak much English, but that's okay. We got by! Danu called me on the phone upon check-in to make sure everything was to my liking. The street it's on is a very local one so there isn't much around, but I had a driver so it was perfectly fine. If you were to walk, I think it would have probably taken 15 or so minutes to the rock along a scenic road :) Danu's mother cooked me the best chicken curry I've ever had! So tasty!!...
